R&R VALUES

PROUD OF OUR PAST…

A Civil Engineer (Robert Emmons) and a Professional Land Surveyor (Ray Finch) established R&R Engineers-Surveyors, Inc. in 1988 to serve the Denver-Metro area. Over the decades, R&R embraced our client’s objectives as our own and sought to deliver quality service in the Rocky Mountain region. Now 35 years later R&R is still lead by a Civil Engineer (Douglas S. Dunkin) and a Professional Land Surveyor (Tony Smith) and continues to turn referred clients into repeat customers by providing innovative solutions for civil engineering and land surveying projects.

1990s

Doug Dunkin joined R&R as a Design Engineer and just two years later, in 1996, with the help of two business partners, he became Principal of R&R Engineers-Surveyors, Inc. The company celebrated their first decade of growth throughout the Denver-Metro Area in 1998.

2000s

In the early 2000s, R&R outgrew their original office on Colorado Boulevard. 40 employees strong, they moved into a unique space at
710 West Colfax Avenue which would end up being home for nearly two decades. In 2008, the team celebrated 20 years of strong clientele and community relationships, setting them up with the resiliency needed to power through the Great Recession. The challenging economic environment presented new opportunities and R&R expanded their service offerings to statewide.

2010s

Over this next decade, R&R would see lots of changes. In 2012, R&R acquired an office in North Dakota to serve the rapidly expanding oil industry, gained employees, and hustled for the next three years. As the oil production slowed in 2015, it was time to move the North Dakota staff to Denver to pursue emerging land development opportunities spurred by the population surge and ending recession.

After celebrating 30 years in 2018, it was time to move into a larger space to accommodate our growing team. In 2019, R&R moved into their new office located in the brand new All Copy Office building in the Sunny Side neighborhood.

2020s

Here we sit, only three years into the new decade and R&R has adapted to remote work regulations, had record revenues two years straight, and grown to a staff of 60+. We continue to look ahead and have taken our innovation further by adding 3D laser scanning and aerial photogrammetry services.
In 2023 we are celebrating the milestone of 35 years!

As we reflect on the past three and a half decades, we are thankful for the support from our industry partners, the communities we work in, and our hard working staff.
