R&R completed a survey from the retracement boundary to ALTA Survey, with design and topographic data. Survey considerations included:
- The designed road layout and consequent route location for the revised road design/layout.
- Coordination of panel point layout and control for aerial mapping for inclusion in the final deliverable product.
- Conversion of coordinate systems from UTM to State Plane and Modified State Plane and back, for any requested features including road layout, route location points, turbines, and meteorological stations.
R&R also designed 35 miles of roadway for turbine construction and maintenance access. Roads were designed with stringent turning radius and slope requirements to allow for the delivery and construction of 39 turbines. Further elements included fall radius considerations, setback requirements, wildlife habitat, roadway cross sections in roadway reclamation, and erosion control requirements.
